Terms

What this site is, what it is not, and the limits of what you can rely on.

This is general information, not medical or psychological advice. Guides describe common patterns in dreams and common ways of reading them. They are not a diagnosis, a therapy session or personalised advice about your mind. Recurring nightmares, dreams that replay a traumatic event, persistent insomnia or any change in sleep that worries you belongs with a doctor or a qualified therapist.

Dreams do not predict events. Nothing on this site should be read as a forecast, and no decision with real consequences — medical, financial, legal or relational — should be made on the strength of a dream or of anything written here about one.

Interpretation is not a fact. Where a guide says an image "usually" points to something, that is a pattern reported across many dreams, not a rule about yours. Two people can have the same dream and be carrying entirely different things.

Cultural readings vary. Many symbols carry opposite meanings in different traditions. Where we describe a traditional reading, we are reporting it, not endorsing it.

No paid readings, no commercial interpretation service. Nothing here is an offer to sell an interpretation, and we take no payment for coverage of any product or practitioner.

Accuracy and availability. We correct errors as we find them and re-date the affected guide, but we do not warrant that every page is complete or current, or that the site is available without interruption.

Content ownership. The text and design of this site belong to us. Quoting a passage with a link back is welcome; republishing whole guides is not.

Written in house

Every guide is researched and written by our editorial team, not spun from a dream dictionary.

Reviewed on a schedule

Each guide carries the date of its last review, and we publish the date even when nothing changed.

Science and tradition kept apart

Where a claim comes from sleep research we say so; where it comes from tradition, we say that too.

Twelve languages

Every guide is translated, not machine-popped — each language has its own URL and its own review date.

No predictions, no readings for sale

We do not claim dreams foretell events, and there is nothing to buy on this site.
